Canning Stock Route
The Canning Stock Route is a remote track through the desert in Western Australia, running from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region to Wiluna in the Mid West region. The route is approximately 1,850 kilometers long and was named after Alfred Canning, who surveyed and developed the route as a stock route in 1906. It was used for droving cattle and other livestock between the two regions, and today is regarded one of the worlds great 4x4 adventures.
